My hobbies include archery, art, making things with duct tape, playing violin and being killed by Barbarians
In 2009, I participated in a re-enactment of the Battle of Teutoberg Forest, in which a band of rag-tag Germanic tribesmen, led by Arminius (aka Herman the German) slaughtered a legion of Roman soldiers. I was a Roman. The re-enactment took place in New Ulm, MN on the 2,000th Anniversary of the original battle. The picture above is mid-battle. It looked like we were winning, but then we all had to die for historic accuracy or whatever.
I've played violin for five years. I take private lessons, and have performed in recitals and through the 4H music project.
I love to make things out of duct tape. My brothers and I make boffers, which are weapons made out of foam, pvc pipe and duct tape. We've made lots of boffers and like to play with them with friends. My skills came in handy during a group project to build a marshmallow trebuchet at a Mensa gathering.
I have enjoyed my art classes through the local high school. This is a papier mache mask I created. I have also taken drawing and metalwork.
